Information about Cloud Computing has been given to the businessmen of Bursa. IT Manager Fatih Göktaş, who describes cloud computing as a service and not as a product, has said that cloud computing is the sharing of software and information provided in the basic source, and the usage of said software and information through internet. Fatih Göktaş has said that the companies in Turkey have left the traditional data processing infrastructure, and that it is time to pass to cloud computing, and has mentioned that “This service provides great advantages in terms of source usage and efficiency. In the traditional data processing, people could face great costs. The present data processing operations are like these. Cloud computing operates with ‘use and pay’ rationale. This is a system of which the capacity can be increased as desired. This is an important service for the companies. This is an issue reducing personnel costs”.
WE CANNOT FIND CLOUD COMPUTING EXPERT
Computer engineering is a highly demanded profession today. Today, there is a concept called ‘cloud computing professionals’. This cloud computing means the personnel for their own operations of the companied. Today, the most capable persons in the market are the persons who are close to get retired. The cloud computing professionals can earn at least twice of the wage of the traditional data processing personnel. There are thousands of customers who may use cloud computing. The number of persons where operation is made is excessive. A work with more added values, more competence and training means more wage. Göktaş has mentioned that it is difficult to find cloud computing engineer, and moreover he has mentioned that “In reality, cloud computing is a service type which has been in use for years, however, it has been differentiated and recently begun to be marketed under the name of cloud computing. Public institutions began using cloud computing. Private sector is slow on this issue since in private sector, there is reliability problem, however, the persons in private sector begin to distinguish that this reliability problem is not meaningful. The traditional data processing professionals are not focused on cloud computing. Companies like our company try to employ the persons who work in traditional data processing in order to train engineer. We aim to bring cloud computing professionals in the sector.
This is a developing sector.” Göktaş has also said that their aim is to create a department in universities called cloud computing, and moreover he said that “We request that an article related to cloud computing crimes is included in laws since data safety is very important. TUBITAK makes researches in this field. There is still no article which protects private sector. Thus, if this is realized, the data processing professionals, graduated from the universities, will find a place in professional life as cloud computing expert”.
